CBD

CBD is in our DNA

While our product mix has shifted over the years, CBD remains an important part of our DNA.  We started Cobra Extracts with a focus on producing high quality medicinal cannabis products.  While the industry has shifted to recreational uses, the medicinal and wellness value of cannabis is still incredibly important to us and our fans.  Much of that medicinal value is credited to the CBD components of the cannabis plant.

We have been working with our scientist in researching and developing the best ratios of the various CBD and THC components for different needs.

Our Process and Formulations

We strive to do better every day in our pursuit of continuous improvement.  Our team has been extracting CBD from the beginning.  We use a variety of natural extraction methods to isolate and purify CBD from marijuana and hemp.

We've also been busy creating formulations beyond our most popular simple ratios of CBD and THC.  We are fine tuning the ratios of sub components of CBD and THC to develop formulations that are more targeted for specific ailments with an eye to the future where we will be able create tailored formulations for each person and their individual biochemistry.

If you have a unique need or would like us to work on developing specific CBD formulations for your company, please reach out to us to see how we could work together to actualize your vision.

Why CBD?

Marijuana and CBD work by acting on the body’s endocannabinoid system. This system’s main job is to maintain homeostasis and help the body adapt to outside stressors.

There are two main types of cannabinoids—endo (produced naturally within the body) and phyto (produced from a plant). CBD is one type of phytocannabinoid. Phytocannabinoids mimic endocannabinoids, so they can act like a supplement, giving you a boost beyond what your body can produce.

Receptors for cannabinoids are found in the digestive, reproductive, nervous, and immune systems. Because cannabinoids interact with almost every system in our bodies, they’re often touted as a cure-all. While they’re not truly able to heal everything, they do regulate neurotransmitter function, inflammation, mitochondrial function, and metabolism.

CBD therefore can be used to treat a large variety of ailments that effect a diverse section of the population (from children to seniors).  While we are still learning more about CBD and cannabis, early research indicates that the anecdotal health benefits that have been touted for years are proving to be accurate during clinical studies.
